Sibuya

Wildlife

The game viewing experience at Sibuya is one of the finest in South Africa. An abundance of antelope and our immense carrying capacity guarantee an intense viewing experience of over 40 of Africa's multitude of species.

The "Big 5" will ensure an adrenalin rush for those wishing to get close-up and personal with dangerous game, whilst the rare and endangered Oribi and Bonetbok will enthrall the connoisseur. Giraffe and Zebra viewed against the backdrop of pristine coastal forest and sea a few kilometres away will complete this magical experience.

The keen eye will pick out the smaller and shyer creatures - caracal, black-backed jackal and the elusive ant bear.

Sibuya is home to some of the Eastern Cape's largest leopard tortoises and legavaans (monitor lizards) as well as chameleons and a host of smaller reptiles.

For the bird-lover no stay at Sibuya can ever be long enough. With four distinct biomes and well over 400 different indigenous and migrant bird species in the area, the serious birder will be constantly notching up new sightings. The very lucky may even get to sight the rare Nerina Trogon and even the rarer Bard Owl.
